Franklin Dale's Story

From August, 1965 to December 1967 I was a Peace Corps Volunteer. After training in Puerto Rico, I and other Volunteers were sent to Panama for two years. I was assigned to a small town in rural Panama where I worked in agriculture and community development. It was a very good experience. To this day I am fortunate to still have good friends in Panama. I had hoped to continue working in the Peace Corps but the local military draft board had other plans, so I went into the Army for two years. I was sent to South Korea for one ye...Expand for more
ar where I was assigned to an Army Education Center where I worked on high school GED preparation and testing, for US Army Soldiers. I worked in Public Health for the Centers for the Disease Control (CDC), Atlanta, based in California for five years. Later I joined the World Health Organization of the United Nations. First I was based in Somalia, and later in the South Pacific, working in a number of Pacific Island Countries while based in Fiji. I will come back with more later. Thats all for now.
